I live in Reepham with my wife and our two children. Both my daughter and son have greatly benefited from attending Reepham Primary School and are now enjoying the specialist curriculum, along with the wide range of opportunities, experiences, and enriching activities that Reepham High School and College offers.
As a family, we are proud to be part of the Reepham community and feel fortunate to live in such a vibrant town, with a range of amenities, services, and wonderful schools. I am delighted to have the opportunity, as a parent governor, to utilise my twenty years of experience in education to give back to the local community and support the continued development of Reepham High School and College.
In my role as Assistant Principal for Curriculum and Achievement, I specialise in curriculum development and raising the achievement of key groups. I am passionate about creating an inclusive learning environment that allows all students to succeed. To achieve this, everyone, regardless of their starting point, should have equal access to the full breadth and depth of the curriculum and enrichment programmes. For those students who join high school at a disadvantage, equity must be addressed through effective adaptive teaching and curriculum interventions. Finally, to inspire students, we must extend experiences through curriculum enhancements tailored to specific learners, enabling them to fulfil their full potential and career goals.
Throughout my career, I have led initiatives that not only raise achievement but also foster a culture of high expectations and continuous improvement. I am a firm believer in the importance of working collaboratively with all stakeholders to enhance the educational experience for everyone. I am therefore very much looking forward to working with the board of governors, leadership team, teachers, students, and parents within our community to deliver the highest standards of learning, outcomes, and destinations for all students who attend Reepham High School and College.
