About Our Trust
Members of Synergy Trust are accountable to the Department for Education for the standards in each of our schools. They appoint Trustees, sign off financial statements and can change the Trust’s Articles of Association.

In turn, the Members appoint a Board of Trustees to ensure the effective running of the Trust and the provision of high quality education in all schools. Trustees also oversee the management of finances and property, and ensure compliance with charity and company law.

Each school has a Local Governing Board that is made up of parents, members of staff and appointed community members. The key role of each Local Governing Board is to ensure that the school’s leadership team is working effectively to improve the quality of education within the institution.

Alastair Ogle is the CEO and Accounting Officer of the Trust. His role is to work with Trustees and Headteachers to ensure that an excellent quality of education is provided in every school, and that resources are deployed most effectively.
